The New Jersey Department of Labor, through their High Growth Workforce Investment Grant Program, provides training within four broad categories: communications, computer skills, mathematics and English as a second language. A listing of available courses in these four categories is available upon request. In addition, we also can create custom training programs for you within these four categories which will also qualify for state grant funding.
Grant Fund Overview
The Callagy Group in conjunction with NJ Department of Labor provides NJ businesses with grant funding for the training of their employees. Should you have a training program already in place, these grants can be used to supplement your training needs.
The grant funding includes broad subject areas: Communications, English as a Second Language, Computer Skills and Mathematics.
The following courses are just a few examples of what content may be included:
COMMUNICATIONS: Effective Supervision, Team building, Civility in the Workplace, Customer Service, Leadership Presentation Skills, Marketing
COMPUTER SKILLS: Beginner to Expert training in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Outlook Express, Publisher, Internet, Windows
ESL: English as a Second Language for non-native speakers, Accent Reduction
Mathematics: general math skills or Shop Math
Answers to some frequently asked questions:
* Classes are scheduled at your convenience and are held on site at your workplace.
* Classes range from 2 hour seminars to full day seminars.
* Instructors are paid through the grant therefore there are no costs to the company.
* Use of Laptops, audio/visual equipment and all training materials are funded by the grant.
* Should you be in need of a course that is not already developed, we will develop it.
* Grants expire in one year but are renewable annually.
* The grant budget is determined by your training needs and number of employees.
Grant recipients include: small to large business both public and private, non-profit organizations and community based organizations. If references are desire, please ask for a list of clients who are participating in this program.
